In current times, we often hear that originality is no longer apparent and everyone is becoming carbon copies of one another. Mass media and pop culture has created hordes of mindless zombies and schools mass produce workers to fit societal needs. This piece combines and brings to light those issues and my personal views towards the subject.
To symbolize the “stealing” of originality, I drew a throne of books representing schools and a mountain of electronics representing the media, and a cow mask representing herd mentality and humans becoming similar to life stock. However, I also drew an empty tag showing that the boy has not succumbed to the brainwashing and animals flowing from his mind into the world and a sanctuary symbolizing his creativity and it making an impact towards the world around him.
